What’s new at IRIS?
With Autumn firmly upon us, we turn our minds to the new season. Here is IRIS’s one stop guide to the season’s top trends. Pop in store and take your pick!
Folklore
For an instant season update, look no further than the bohemian, 70s style dress, as championed on the catwalk at Chloe and Burberry. Perfect with long boots, and a long cardigan. We love the MIH Cornflower Floral Sheer Dress.
Oversize knitwear
On the catwalk, there were lots of oversized, cosy jumpers and cardigans. Perfect to wear over dresses and skirts, or skinny jeans. Polo necks have also made a return this season, part of the 70s revival which is going to be a huge trend.
Cream coats
Take a break from the usual navy and black, and break up your wardrobe with a pop of Winter white. We love the Masscob cream wool coat.
Prints and colour
Florals, checks, animal prints, clashing prints – anything goes this season. From Sessun’s ditsy florals to geometric prints at Ba&sh, there is something for everyone. Colour wise, there are lots of rich emeralds and maroons. If ever there was a season to try colour, this is it!
New Romantics
At Valentino and Alexander McQueen, the Victoriana look was strong. Think black or white lace blouses such as the Ba&sh Tardis Lace top and pleated detail dresses like these gorgeous styles from Isabel Marant –Auxanne Embroidered dress&Aude Dancer dress. Velvet dresses are going to be big – check out Masscob’s sapphire hued version.
